Fountain, established in 2010, is dedicated to developing cross-disciplinary, trans-generational programmes in collaboration with artists, filmmakers, critics, art historians, and curators. Its international work reflects a diversity of opinions and practices, shaped in part by director Keith Whittle’s associations with both British and international artists and partners working across various media and platforms. Fountain presents projects by both established and emerging artists, interwoven with conceptually driven initiatives and group exhibitions. Its mission is to foster a dialogue between historical works and contemporary artistic practices, with a particular emphasis on highlighting marginalised figures and underrepresented narratives.
